Job summary

Century Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Los Angeles County area to join a client team on a direct hire basis. Base salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 annually, with compensation influenced by skills, experience and location.

You will lead month-end close, GL and reporting functions, manage AP processes, oversee asset and lease accounting, and drive process improvements across departments to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience in senior level accounting roles with responsibility for financial reporting, close processes, and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and operational accounting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting applications.
• Experience managing accounting workflows and supporting team development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead month end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, and supporting schedules while maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Manage accounts payable activities, vendor relationships, payment processing, and related accounting functions.
• Support project accounting, fixed asset tracking, lease accounting, and other operational accounting responsibilities.
• Identify accounting process improvements, implement efficiencies, and collaborate with cross functional teams to support business objectives.
