Job summary

CFS in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage month-end close, revenue recognition, and multi-state tax compliance.

You will analyze variances, prepare financial reports for leadership, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-state, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee deferred revenue accounting and revenue recognition processes in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
• Administer multi-state sales and use tax filings and maintain ongoing compliance requirements.
• Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy across related accounting activities.
• Drive process improvements, documentation initiatives, and cross-functional accounting projects.
