Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a Senior Accountant specializing in Technical Accounting & Strategic Finance to join a growing professional services team in Charlotte. The role focuses on complex accounting, financial reporting, and advisory work across diverse client engagements.

You will research US GAAP, assist with SEC reporting, support M&A activities, IPO readiness, and process improvements while collaborating with senior finance professionals to deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years in public accounting or related industry.
• Big 4 or large public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with technical accounting or SEC reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients on complex accounting and financial reporting.
• Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to technical accounting matters.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and SEC reporting.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, and other strategic transactions.
• Participate in IPO readiness and process improvements.
• Evaluate internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Analyze financial data to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with client leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.
