Job summary

ST Radio, Bloomington is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate and divisional financial operations in accordance with GAAP. This role will ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and support the CFO with detailed reporting and audits.

You will maintain ledgers, prepare financial statements, input payroll via ADP, and collaborate with division controllers on budgeting and financial planning. The position requires accuracy under deadlines and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with divisional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial accounting software.
• Willingness to travel for audits and professional development.
• Valid driver's license and insurability are required.
• Must be bondable.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and income statements.
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end closing processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and property tax reports for all divisions.
• Assist CFO with budget preparation and coordinate divisional controllers.
• Input payroll in ADP software.
• Complete workers’ compensation reporting annually.
• Prepare reports for year-end financial reviews and audits.
• Semi-annual on-site reviews of division financial statements.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant supports corporate and divisional operations by maintaining accurate and compliant financial records across the company, in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. This role supports divisional controllers and must meet mandatory monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines, payroll, and consolidated financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the CFO and company leadership through detailed reporting, audits, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the general ledger and income statements
• Handle month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end closing processes
• Maintain fixed asset records and property tax reports for all divisions
• Assist CFO in preparing and maintaining the corporate operational budget and coordinate divisional controllers with budget preparation
• Input payroll in ADP software
• Complete workers’ compensation reporting annually
• Prepare reports and documentation for year-end financial reviews and audits
• Semi-annual on site reviews of division financial statements
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

Experience:

• 3 or more years of experience in accounting
• Experience with financial statement preparation and journal entries,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and prioritize duties and work collaboratively with Divisions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial accounting software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel for audits and professional development
• Valid driver's license and insurability (required)
• Must be able to be bonded
• Flexibility in schedule and must be available to meet deadlines
• Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple responsibilities
