Job description

A company in the Allentown area is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to support key accounting, audit, and year‑end close activities. This short‑term role requires a hands‑on professional who can quickly step in to assist with audit adjustments, fixed asset accounting, and month‑end close responsibilities. Experience in construction or project‑based industries is highly preferred.

Base Pay Range

$33.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post audit adjustments; update all supporting workpapers
• Process payments through the company’s bank system
• Manage fixed assets and assist with new equipment lease setup
• Respond to audit requests and provide support to external auditors
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close
• Perform flux/variance analysis, including review of December‑to‑January account changes
• Support W‑2 and 1099 processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Senior‑level accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of audit processes, month‑end close, and fixed asset accounting
• Strong analytical and variance analysis skills
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel
