Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and accounting records across multiple entities.
• Assist with core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, reimbursements, producing financial statements, budgets.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate tax return preparation with external vendor.
• Maintain detailed investment records for private investments.
• Support CFO and investment team on ad hoc projects; expand responsibilities over time.

Are you an accountant who has solid core skills and is looking for an opportunity to grow? The QTI Group is proud to partner with a private market investment firm to find a Senior Accountant. The primary focus of this role is accounting and finance, with some support for operations. Additionally, the person in this role will also have the fantastic opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in the realm of finance and private investment and grow into broader responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate for this role will have solid accounting skills and an interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment.

Compensation:

$80,000-$100,000 (commensurate with experience) and a full range of benefits.

Location

This is an in-person role located in Beloit, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and accounting records across multiple entities.
• Assist with core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, reimbursements, producing financial statements, producing and monitoring annual budgets.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity needs and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Coordinate and review tax return preparation and submission with external vendor.
• Maintain detailed investment and reconciliation records for a variety of private investments.
• Support the CFO and investment team on ad hoc projects, special analyses, and decision-support requests, with responsibilities expanding as the candidate grows into the role.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and 2-5 years of work experience.
• Strong fundamental skills in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt communication style to different settings.
• Strong understanding of how to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Interest in and aptitude for learning new systems, tools, and processes.
• Interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment with evolving procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Interest in private equity, venture capital, or alternative investment accounting, and willingness to learn more.
