Job summary

Addison Group in Bellevue, WA, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team. You will own key accounting processes, support monthly closes, and collaborate across departments to enable growth.

Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting support, and accurate financial reporting for leadership and stakeholders. CPA or progress toward it is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and financial statement prep.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, analysis).

As the company continues its expansion, they are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting business growth.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting the monthly close process, and assisting with budgeting and financial analysis activities. This role requires a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment and can partner effectively with multiple departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actual results, budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities, including budget preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of budget compliance.
• Partner with department leaders to track expenses and manage budgeted costs.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and appropriately supported on a timely basis.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Support annual audits, tax preparation, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting for leadership and operational stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within the accounting function.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and project teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Assist with cash flow reporting, fixed asset accounting, and other general accounting responsibilities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience performing account reconciliations, variance analysis, and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally throughout the organization.
• Experience working within a growing company environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation, CPA candidate, or prior public accounting a plus.
• Experience in a complex mid to large company.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.

Our client offers:

$115,000 to $125,000 base salary range dependent on experience. Annual bonus target offered.
