Zusammenfassung

The LandTek Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role supports the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment and offers an opportunity to develop into a leadership position within 1-2 years.

You will oversee the month-end close, monitor the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with the VP of Finance to ensure accurate statements and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 2–3 years of public accounting experience OR approximately 10 years of progressive career trajectory in accounting.
• Strong experience with month-end close and producing accurate financial reporting.
• Experience monitoring general ledger activity, investigating variances, and resolving discrepancies to maintain reliable financial data.
• WIP and some construction accounting experience.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Acute attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor general ledger activity and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and supported.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and accounting reports.
• Investigate financial variances, identify discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
• Perform and review account reconciliations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist with WIP and construction accounting, including related job costing and accounting activities.
• Manage a high volume of accounting activity while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support external auditors by compiling accurate documentation, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting materials.
• Respond to external auditor inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting team members as needed.
• Partner with the VP of Finance & Accounting and progressively assume additional responsibility across the finance and accounting function.
