Job Details
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyses, prepare journal entries, and review accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
  • Identify, research, and solve accounting issues.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual audit process.
  • Work with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities, administrative coordination, and logistics.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
