LOOP is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team and support corporate accounting and financial reporting. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting and the Accounting Manager to assist with month-end close, reconciliations, acquisitions, consolidations, and general ledger activity.

This role offers exposure to acquisitions, financial reporting, audit support, and process improvement in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting system (Dynamics GP preferred).
  • SEC reporting experience preferred.
  • CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close and consolidations.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with acquisition accounting and related documentation.
  • Prepare consolidation and intercompany entries; research variances.
  • Support financial reporting and audit processes.

Job description

My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team and play a key role in supporting corporate accounting and financial reporting processes. Working closely with the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, Accounting Manager, and other members of the Finance team, this individual will support month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, acquisition accounting, consolidations, and general ledger activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a diverse corporate accounting role with exposure to acquisitions, financial reporting, audit support, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Support accounting activities related to intangible assets, acquisition accounting, capitalized software, accrued expenses, accrued liabilities, and other general ledger accounts
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with established accounting procedures and assigned responsibilities
  • Prepare account reconciliations and research and resolve discrepancies during the month-end close process
  • Work with internal and external teams to obtain acquisition agreements and related documentation
  • Analyze and interpret acquisition agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and intercompany entries and research variances
  • Support financial reporting activities and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records
  • Provide documentation, schedules, and explanations to external auditors during the annual audit
  • Develop and document accounting processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Research accounting issues and identify and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Assist with additional accounting responsibilities, projects, and initiatives as needed
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with an emphasis in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with an ERP or accounting system; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
  • SEC reporting experience strongly preferred
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to research issues and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
