Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. This remote-friendly role may require onsite presence in certain circumstances to meet business needs.

You will lead the account management team, handle policy administration, renewals, billing, claims, and service requests, while maintaining data accuracy and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of account management or 7+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the account management team.
• Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
