Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a client portfolio, retain business, and support new opportunities. You will coordinate day-to-day administration, policy servicing, billing, claims handling, and renewal activity while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver superior service.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of account management experience in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance
• Active property & casualty licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Technical competence: maintain industry knowledge and apply it to client needs
• Team leadership: direct daily activities of the account management team
• Customer service: handle service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis
• Policy management: manage expirations and renewals
• Renewal process: prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals
• Accounts receivable: monitor reports and collect outstanding balances
• System maintenance: maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Activity monitoring: ensure timely completion of tasks
• Communication: keep account team updated on workload and issues
• Service excellence: anticipate needs and respond quickly to requests
• Policy compliance: stay updated on policies and procedures
• Continuous improvement: adopt best practices to improve performance
• Champion IOA values: demonstrate integrity and leadership
