Senior Account Executive – Employee Benefits - Insurance

Remote or Hybrid | Full-Time | Compensation up to $150K | Must have Insurance Experience

Looking to elevate your impact? We’re hiring a Senior Account Executive to lead strategy and service delivery for a $ 1M+ book of mid-market employee benefits clients. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll act as the primary advisor, shaping benefit programs that truly make a difference for employers and their employees.

You’ll manage complex funding strategies (fully insured, level-funded, and self-funded), guide clients through regulatory changes, and collaborate with both carriers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. You’ll also have a voice in shaping growth, supporting new business proposals, and client expansion efforts.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the client relationship and benefit strategy across medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans
  • Lead renewals, RFPs, carrier negotiations, and plan performance analysis
  • Oversee open enrollment and maintain data accuracy in benefits platforms
  • Proactively bring insights, solve challenges, and ensure compliance
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of excellence

What You Bring

  • 7+ years in employee benefits consulting or account management
  • Expertise across funding models, vendor negotiation, and compliance (ACA, ERISA, COBRA)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to guide C-suite conversations
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
