Energy Exemplar Pty Ltd is seeking an Account Director to drive new business growth with power trading organizations. This senior enterprise sales role requires deep understanding of how power markets operate and the ability to translate that knowledge into software opportunities across Energy Exemplar’s platform suite, including PLEXOS.

You will develop and execute territory plans, manage a robust pipeline with marketing and pre-sales support, and lead opportunities from engagement to close,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or complex solution selling.
• Proven track record of winning new business and closing high-value deals.
• Experience selling to power traders, trading desks or power market participants preferred.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Confident leading discovery, presentations, negotiations and executive-level discussions.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and win new customers across the power trading market.
• Collaborate with sales development and marketing to build a qualified pipeline.
• Develop territory and account plans to meet revenue targets.
• Build relationships with trading executives, desk heads and analysts.
• Lead consultative sales cycles from discovery through close and contract negotiation.
• Coordinate demonstrations, workshops and engagements with solutions teams.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and CRM records.
