Job summary

Energy Exemplar is seeking an Account Director to drive new business growth with power trading organizations. This senior enterprise sales role requires understanding how power is traded, scheduled, settled and optimized, translating that knowledge into strategic software opportunities.

You will develop and execute a territory plan, supported by sales development and marketing resources to identify target accounts, build pipeline and create opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or complex solution selling.
• Proven track record of winning new business and closing high-value deals.
• Experience selling to power traders or trading desks; knowledge of electricity markets preferred.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend industry events.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and win new customers in the power trading market.
• Collaborate with sales development and marketing to build a qualified pipeline.
• Develop territory and account plans aligned to revenue targets.
• Engage with trading executives and commercial decision-makers.
• Lead consultative sales cycles from discovery to close.
