Job summary

The University of Oklahoma's Gallogly College of Engineering invites applications for an Associate Advisor Senior at the Williams Student Services Center to guide training and development. The role reports to the Director of Advising and will lead onboarding for new advisors and plan professional development for the advising team.

Duties include overseeing degree planning, communicating program policies, and helping students reach educational and career goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 72 months of experience in academic advising/higher education.
• Equivalency: Master's with 48 months experience or Doctorate with 24 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees degree planning by recommending course sequencing and monitoring progress toward degree completion.
• Communicates information regarding programs, policies, and procedures to students based on individual needs.
• Assists students in achieving educational, professional, and personal goals through specialized guidance.
• Leadership and scholarly activity to advance professional advising identity.
• Develop onboarding plans and professional development activities for new advisors.
