Job summary

West Texas A&M University is seeking an Academic Advisor III to support Advising Services. You will advise undergraduates, coordinate with faculty, and oversee the Early Alert program while maintaining safe handling of confidential student information.

The role involves collaboration with COHNHS and transfer students, guiding them through remediations and course selections, and assisting with orientations and training for advisors. This full-time on-campus position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of related experience in advising/recruiting.
• Experience serving undergraduates, transferring students, and coordinating with faculty.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate students with limited earned hours and new transfers.
• Submit substitutions, add/drops, and curriculum changes.
• Manage Early Alert communications and coordinate remediation plans.
• Assist with New Student Orientation events and advisor training.
• Maintain compliance with required online trainings.
