Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions seeks an Automation Engineer for ABB robotics and PLC integration in Waukesha County, WI. You will drive ground-up machine builds, RAPID coding, RobotStudio simulations, and Rockwell PLC integration for global clients.

Five-plus years ABB programming depth and two-plus years PLC development are required, with travel up to 30% and a valid U.S. passport. Onsite work supports autonomous engineering and end-to-end project ownership.

Qualifications

• ABB Robotics expertise with RAPID programming (5+ years) and RobotStudio simulations.
• PLC development experience (2+ years) with ladder logic in Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 (or equivalent).
• Strong safety and motion control literacy (vision, safety networks).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize RAPID code and RobotStudio simulations for ABB robotics integration.
• Lead full-lifecycle machine builds from design through debugging on the floor.
• Configure hardware, fieldbus protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET), and EOAT wiring.
• Troubleshoot integration issues including pathing, timing, and control logic on-site and in the field.
• Lead client onsite deployments and perform SAT and sign-offs.
