True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and deploy ground-up ABB robotic systems in a Waukesha County facility. You will write RAPID, simulate with RobotStudio, and integrate ABB arms with master PLCs across plant-wide automation.

The role requires 5+ years ABB programming depth (RAPID/RobotStudio) and 2+ years PLC development with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000. Onsite with up to 30% travel, valid U.S. passport preferred.

Qualifications

• ABB Robotics: 5+ years programming ABB robots with RAPID and RobotStudio.
• PLC development: 2+ years ladder logic with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Safety & motion: familiarity with motion control, vision, safety networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Robotics/Mechatronics or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and commute within 45 minutes of Waukesha County.

Responsabilités

• Write, simulate, and optimize RAPID code and RobotStudio models for ABB systems.
• Lead full-lifecycle builds from design to floor deployment and debugging.
• Configure hardware, protocols, and EOAT for ABB robotics packages.
• Troubleshoot integration issues on build floor and in field deployments.
• Lead client onsite deployments, site SAT, and engineering sign-offs.
• Create system logic documentation and operation manuals.
