Job summary

Global Accounting Network seeks a Senior Reinsurance Underwriter to join its Accident & Health underwriting team in New Jersey. This individual will expand specialty product offerings, develop underwriting strategies, manage delegated underwriting relationships, and drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of underwriting experience in HMO, Provider Excess, Managed Care, or related A&H products; strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Approximately 10+ years of underwriting experience in HMO, Provider Excess, Managed Care, or related A&H/reinsurance products.
• Experience with MGU, program, or delegated underwriting relationships is a plus.
• Strong communication, relationship management and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting initiatives for existing and emerging specialty products, including Managed Care and Provider Excess.
• Develop and implement underwriting strategies to support sustainable growth and profitability.
• Evaluate new and renewal opportunities, assessing risk, pricing, terms, and account quality.
• Manage relationships with MGU/program partners and monitor portfolio performance.
• Establish relationships with brokers and distribution partners to generate quality business.
