Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field.
• 5–7 years' experience in professional liability underwriting, with focus on Architects & Engineers.
• Deep understanding of A&E risk exposures, insurance products, regulations, and underwriting methodologies.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and underwrite new and renewal Architects & Engineers Professional Liability risks in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
• Evaluate exposures, review applications, loss histories, and supplemental information to determine eligibility and pricing.
• Develop and maintain strong agency and broker relationships to drive business growth.
• Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing to secure desirable new business and renewals.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team, claims, and actuarial departments to ensure sound risk management practices.
• Monitor portfolio performance and adjust strategies to maximize profitability.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and industry events as a representative of Twin Maples Specialty.
