Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Minimum 2 years' liability underwriting experience; pollution experience optional.
• Proven track record in managing an insurance portfolio.
• Developed relationships with wholesale and retail brokers.
• Proficient in presentations; strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite packages: General liability, pollution, professional liability, commercial auto, workers' comp and excess liability.
• Focus on new business production and profitable renewals.
• Manage development, growth and profitability for book of business or territory and drive underwriting goals.
• Pipeline tracking.
• Travel to key brokers/accounts and maintain visibility in the marketplace.
• Cross-market with Starr products.
