Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of 911 dispatching experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• EMD/EMD-Q certification.
• CPR / AED certification.
• Familiar with NIMS / NIMS certified.
• Successful completion of APCO Supervisory course within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate subordinate staff.
• Schedule employees to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Hiring and onboarding new team members.
• Provide coaching support for trainees and trainers.
• Ensure standards of service are maintained in line with the Summit County 911 Center mission.
• Perform the duties of a 911 Dispatcher as required.
• Demonstrate high emotional intelligence in conflict resolution and mediation; enforce constructive feedback while promoting teamwork.
