Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Principal 5G/nextG Cybersecurity Architect in the Secure Enterprise and Cloud Architectures Department to drive AI-enabled secure next-generation communications for federal sponsors. You will leverage extensive 5G/nextG and AI expertise to shape enterprise strategy, architecture standards, and threat-informed security across government programs.

Role requires deep telecommunications experience, strong leadership, and the ability to translate complex standards into actionable

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; 8 years with a master's; or 5 years with a PhD.
Advanced ability to architect secure enterprise solutions and apply zero trust to nextG systems.
Expertise in 3GPP, ENISA and GSMA 5G/nextG standards, architecture and design.

Responsibilities

Develop secure 5G/nextG architectures and reference models for government customers.
Lead 5G/nextG cybersecurity architecture and governance initiatives.
Translate standards into architecture decisions, security requirements, and implementation guidance.
Collaborate with government officials and industry stakeholders to deliver timely guidance.
Communicate complex findings to executives and technical teams.
