E-Space in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain 5G Core Network Functions and service interfaces on Linux. You will implement 3GPP protocols, build microservices with REST-like APIs, and contribute to automated tests and CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in STEM disciplines (CS/CE/EE or related).
• 8+ years professional software development in telecom or networking.
• 5+ years hands-on with 5G Core Network Functions or LTE/4G EPC systems.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; capable of architecting complex telecom processing solutions.
• Deep knowledge of 3GPP specs and RAN/5G-NR/LTE protocols; strong debugging skills.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test case development.
• Experience analyzing network element logs with specialized tools.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain 5G Core Network Functions and service interfaces on Linux.
• Implement 3GPP protocols and network interfaces (NAS, PFCP, GTP-U, HTTP/2).
• Build and improve microservices with REST-like APIs in a distributed system.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and analyze control-plane signaling.
• Develop 5G core network control-plane probes for monitoring and analysis.
• Create automated test frameworks for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with leaders to elicit requirements and produce technical docs.
• Perform research, develop performance tools, and optimize network configurations.
• Support products through full release cycle including testing and deployment.
