Job summary

Randstad USA in Hayward, CA seeks a Senior CNC Mill Programmer to create, optimize, and prove out complex 3- to 5-axis milling programs. The role requires hands-on CAD/CAM experience, GD&T knowledge, and deep understanding of metal-cutting parameters across materials.

Responsibilities include CAM programming with Mastercam/Esprit/Fusion 360, setup and prove-out, GD&T interpretation, tool and fixture design, process optimization, quality inspections, and shop-floor mentoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC milling programming in a high-precision environment.
• Proficient in Mastercam/CAMWorks/Hypermill; SolidWorks/AutoCAD for fixtures.
• GDT per ASME Y14.5; G-code/M-code editing and speeds/feeds.
• Experience programming Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Heidenhain or Siemens controls.
• Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel and engineering plastics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize multi-axis CNC mill programs using CAM software.
• Perform setup, dry runs, and first-article prove-outs for new parts.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to plan machining sequences.
• Design/select tooling and fixtures; optimize fixtures/workholding.
• Improve cycle times, tool life, and part quality on production jobs.
• Conduct in-process and first-article inspections with precision instruments.
• Mentor setup technicians and operators on the shop floor.
