Job summary

Amazon is seeking a 3PL/3PA Manufacturing Services Manager to own external provider performance, space planning across warehouse and staging footprints, and inventory optimization at the interface between inbound supply and manufacturing consumption.

You will manage provider relationships, drive SLA governance and continuous improvement, and lead strategic projects to scale 3PL/3PA capacity ahead of manufacturing demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading process improvement, systems development, and project management.
• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• 5+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing external service provider relationships, including SLA negotiation, governance and capacity planning.
• Experience with warehouse space planning, layout optimization, and material flow design.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end 3PL/3PA performance across kitting, labeling, decant, light assembly, and sub-assembly operations.
• Negotiate and govern SLAs, KPIs, and cost structures with providers; conduct quarterly business reviews and drive corrective action.
• Manage provider capacity planning to scale external operations with manufacturing demand.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean/Six Sigma to reduce defects and improve on-time delivery.
• Own warehouse and staging footprint strategy across 3PL sites and manufacturing receiving areas.
• Execute space utilization analysis and layout optimization to reduce handling distance and dwell time.
• Develop capacity models predicting space needs 6–12 months ahead based on demand.
• Drive inventory accuracy improvement across 3PL-managed and in-transit inventory.
• Lead 3PL/3PA scope expansion as manufacturing portfolio grows.
• Drive system integration between 3PL WMS and manufacturing digital systems (MES, SCP, ERP).
• Establish automated reporting and real-time dashboards for 3PL performance and material flow.
• Support make/buy analyses with data, cost modeling and capability assessments.
