Job summary

Amazon Robotics seeks a Senior Applied Scientist to build scalable 3D perception systems for high-density fulfillment centers. You will work on encoder-decoder networks, transformers, and multi-view fusion to enable robust robotic perception and real-time inference on edge devices.

You will lead a team of researchers, translate research into production, and drive architectural decisions across cross-functional teams in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with modeling tools and large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement 3D perception models for semantic occupancy and scene completion.
• Own end-to-end model lifecycle including scalable training and edge latency optimization.
• Design and scale pseudo-ground-truth data generation pipelines for training samples.
• Lead multi-view perception integration and contribute to long-term robotic perception roadmap.
• Mentor applied scientists and engineers and drive a culture of rigorous experimentation.
