Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company, at the Kenworth R&D Center in Renton, WA, seeks a Senior Studio Modeler to create and prepare 3D models and mockups, collaborating with Industrial Design and Digital Modeling teams to meet packaging and design constraints.

The role requires extensive clay modeling experience and proficiency with CAD, 3D scanning, and CNC milling, supporting transitions from concept to verification models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience with clay modeling preferred.
• Automotive, Transportation, or Product Design studio experience required. Heavy truck experience preferred.
• Experience in 3D scanning/CMM operation required. Experience in CAD programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and mockups from foam core to high quality studio model properties.
• Read engineering prints and fabricate armatures accurately.
• Demonstrate expertise in clay modeling techniques for exterior and interior model setup.
