Job summary

Kenworth Truck Company, part of PACCAR, is seeking a Senior Digital Sculptor in Renton, Washington. The role focuses on generating Class-A CAD surface models using Alias to translate design intent into manufacturable surfaces, collaborating with designers and engineers to meet packaging constraints and project timelines.

The ideal candidate will possess a Design/Engineering background, 10+ years in digital surfaces, and a portfolio demonstrating high-quality surface work for heavy trucks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Transportation or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years creating concept and Class-A digital surfaces.
• Minimum 7 years in transportation design studio.
• Proficient in Alias.
• Knowledge of heavy truck assembly and systems.
• Strong surface modeling and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Portfolio required demonstrating skills.
• Collaborative across departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop Class-A surface CAD models from approved styling themes using Alias.
• Coordinate packaging constraints with product engineering and suppliers.
• Release high-quality Class-A surface data to Engineering groups and suppliers.
• Manage multiple projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
• Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing feasibility issues early.
