Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Perception Engineer in the United States (Massachusetts) to design and productize the next-generation autonomous driving perception stack. You’ll work on 3D obstacle perception using CNNs, transformers, and multi-sensor fusion, delivering production-ready models and KPI-driven improvements.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, latency, and scalability, with responsibilities spanning data strategy, active learning, and model-in-the-loop tooling.

Qualifications

• PhD with 4+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS (or equivalent) with 8+ years in CS/EE.
• Hands-on DL-based perception experience with PyTorch and production-grade software.
• Strong Python and C++ programming and collaboration with data/ground-truth teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve design, architecture, and roadmap for 3D obstacle perception in autonomous driving.
• Design and implement 3D perception models using multi-camera and multi-sensor fusion (camera, radar, lidar).
• Build efficient, production-grade deep learning models with scalable training and evaluation pipelines.
• Define KPI frameworks and analyze large-scale data to improve accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.
• Contribute to data strategy for perception, including data labeling and annotation workflows.
• Collaborate with safety, systems, and software teams to ensure deployment readiness at scale.
