Job summary

NVIDIA AI in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Principal Perception Engineer to lead the design and productization of NVIDIA’s autonomous driving perception stack. This senior individual contributor role combines hands-on architecture, research, and cross‑functional leadership to advance 3D obstacle perception using CNNs, transformers, and multi‑sensor fusion.

You will mentor engineers, define KPI frameworks, influence data strategies and labeling practices, and ensure safety, latency, and robustness

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on DL perception or related systems.
• Technical leadership as senior IC: end-to-end ownership.
• Experience with data-driven development and labeling collaboration.
• Strong Python and/or C++ programming; production-quality software.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, architecture, and roadmap for 3D obstacle perception.
