Job summary

Roblox is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in 3D graphics and engine development to join the ML Data Pod within the Foundation AI team. You will architect pipelines to generate synthetic data at scale, bridging researchers and engineers to advance 3DGen capabilities across Roblox.

The role emphasizes low-level engine work, high-performance C++ coding, and collaboration with AI researchers to deliver scalable data generation solutions for immersive 3D content

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production-grade software.
• Expertise in 3D graphics, rendering pipelines, and engine architecture.
• Strong C++ proficiency with optimized, scalable code.
• Experience extracting or manipulating data inside a complex engine.
• Excellent communication bridging ML researchers and engineers.
• Bonus: familiarity with ML data pipelines or 3D generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead synthetic data generation using the Roblox engine to produce large, high-fidelity 3D datasets.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and core engine teams to implement features safely and efficiently.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable graphics and engine-level systems for diverse spatial data.
• Embed synthetic data workflows into the engine architecture without compromising core performance.
