Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Safety and Security Manager to lead the 24/7 security program for a large residential campus serving 4,000+ residents, employees and visitors. You will align contract security teams, manage health and safety programs, and drive incident response and investigations.

The role requires site leadership, strong risk management, and collaboration with HR, Legal and facilities to maintain safety, security operations and regulatory compliance at all times.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of progressively responsible physical-security experience, including at least three years leading a large site, campus, industry, hospitality, public safety, military or contract-guard operation.
• ASIS Certified Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), FEMA/NIMS incident-command training, or comparable credentials.
• Previous experience within HSE, Risk, Compliance, Client Assurance or a related field.
• National Incident management system (NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800) training is an asset
• Demonstrated experience managing supervisors and third-party security providers in a 24/7 environment.
• Working knowledge of access control, visitor management, CCTV/video surveillance, radio communications, incident management, patrol operations and physical-security principles.
• Experience developing post orders, standard operating procedures, emergency protocols, staffing plans, training programs and performance metrics.
• Sound judgment under pressure and the ability to lead a coordinated response while communicating clearly with senior leaders and frontline personnel.
• Strong investigation, report-writing, conflict-resolution, coaching and stakeholder-management skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to satisfy background, motor-vehicle-record and site-access requirements.
• Ability to work on site and respond outside normal hours when significant incidents or operational conditions require management presence.
• Current Texas private-security registration or eligibility to obtain the registration applicable to assigned duties. A commissioned/Level III credential is required only if the role is assigned armed security duties.
• Drive medical governance, workforce capability, and service excellence through effective leadership, risk management, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 24/7 security program across gates, patrols, dispatch/control room, resident areas, parking, deliveries and events.
• Manage security vendors, staffing, schedules and KPIs; enforce post orders and SOPs.
• Oversee access, badging, CCTV/video systems, incident management and risk assessments.
• Coordinate health, safety and environmental programs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Serve as site liaison with medical, HR, Facilities, IT, client reps and law enforcement.
• Lead drills, investigations and after-action reviews; ensure timely reporting and documentation.
• Provide strategic leadership of medical services across departments and external providers.
• Maintain professional security culture and continuous improvement across operations.
