Job summary

Castle Employment Group in Bradford is seeking SEND Support Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across the BD7 area, providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND. The role requires patience, a caring approach and strong communication and behaviour support skills.

Experience in education settings is preferred; Enhanced DBS on Update Service is advantageous. We offer competitive daily rates and immediate start opportunities in welcoming schools.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND/SEN in school or care settings.
• Patience, caring and resilient personality.
• Strong communication and behaviour support skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN/SEND needs.
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Help pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons.
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to support learning.
• Support pupils’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing and behaviour management.
