Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking a SEND Pupil Pastoral TA to support pupils with SEND needs in Scarborough. The role is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, term-time only with holiday pay provided.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, provide pastoral support, help manage emotions and behaviour, and engage pupils in learning. Training is provided and flexible hours may be available.

SEND Pupil Pastoral TA

£15.00 – £17.00 per hour | Monday – Friday | Term Time Only | Flexible Hours Available

We are currently recruiting SEND Pupil Pastoral Support Workers / Learning Support Mentors to work within specialist SEN and SEMH settings across Scarborough.

You will be working alongside experienced education teams to support pupils with a range of SEND needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and behavioural challenges.

The role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Providing encouragement, reassurance and pastoral support
• Helping pupils manage emotions, behaviour and daily challenges
• Supporting engagement with learning and personal development
• Building positive relationships with pupils who need additional support

Hours & Location:

Scarborough

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Flexible hours available

Term Time Only (holiday pay provided)

About you:

Previous experience within education, SEN, SEMH, care, support work, youth work, mentoring, or similar settings would be highly beneficial.
