Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in Highbridge, England, across a range of supportive schools. You will help pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH, reach their full potential.

As an SEN TA you will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, assist teachers with engaging activities, and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment while collaborating with staff. DBS on Update Service is required or applicants must apply.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEN or behavioural needs is desirable.
• Empathy, patience and adaptability are important for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
• Encourage social, emotional and academic development.
• Support pupils with additional behavioural and emotional needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals.
