Job summary

Castle Employment Group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in Bradford. The role involves helping pupils access learning on a one-to-one or small-group basis, and assisting teachers with adapted lessons.

You will promote positive behaviour, contribute to a safe and inclusive environment, and monitor pupil progress to help students thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
• Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted lessons
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Monitor and record pupil progress
