Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Atherton, start September 2026. This long-term temporary position supports Year 2 under the guidance of the class teacher.

You'll help deliver catch-up sessions, adapt resources, and foster an inclusive classroom where every child belongs. The role offers flexible days and a supportive Milk Education network with access to training and CPD.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

We’re currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Atherton, M46 to support working in their Year 2 class. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You’ll be joining a caring and supportive school, focused on supporting children to have a life-long love of learning. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
