Job summary

Bloomberg Intelligence seeks an Associate Analyst for Semis to support the franchise with financial modeling, research, and written analyses on Nvidia, AMD, Broadcom and peers. The role leverages Bloomberg data and external announcements, with interaction across Bloomberg teams and clients.

The position emphasizes quantitative analysis, industry knowledge, and adoption of AI tools to improve research workflows. Location: San Francisco area; salary range provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably Finance or related field.
• At least two years of financial market research or industry experience with demonstrable research/analytical skills.
• Proficient in Technology sector knowledge.
• Strong finance/accounting concepts understanding.
• Solid experience in quantitative financial analysis, modeling, and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to spot anomalies and reason about data discrepancies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High curiosity and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to adopt AI and automation to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to daily research activities: data gathering, modeling, and writing.
• Monitor major company developments and macro themes affecting industries.
• Synthesize data analyses into concise narratives communicating the data story.
• Review research to ensure global quality standards.
• Develop relationships across Bloomberg and with external professionals; participate in special projects.
• Collaborate with data/core groups to enhance terminal content and functionality.
• Interact with clients via Bloomberg online messaging systems.
• Use generative AI and automation to improve workflows and research quality.
