Job summary

Bloomberg Intelligence in New York seeks an Associate Analyst to support the Semiconductors franchise through financial modeling, data analysis, and written research on Nvidia, AMD, Broadcom, and peers. You'll base work on company data, Bloomberg datasets, and issuer calls.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Finance or related field, US work authorization, 2+ years in market research, strong Excel, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• US work authorization for full-time employment (no visa sponsorship needed).
• At least 2 years of financial market research or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Technology sector.
• Solid finance/accounting knowledge and financial statement analysis.
• Experience with quantitative financial analysis and modeling.
• Ability to spot anomalies in data and think critically.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to adopt generative AI and automation in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to daily research activities: data gathering, modeling, and written analysis.
• Monitor major developments and macro trends impacting semiconductors.
• Synthesize analysis into concise narratives explaining data stories.
• Review research for quality and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Bloomberg departments and external data professionals.
• Develop content and enhancements across Bloomberg Terminal workflows.
• Interact with clients via online messaging systems.
• Leverage AI/automation to improve research efficiency and quality.
