Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Project Manager (Tool Hookup Mechanical) to manage engineering, scheduling, and construction execution for process mechanical hookups in a semiconductor foundry. You will coordinate with contractors, field engineers, and vendors to ensure safe, on-schedule tool hookups per design specs on the production floor and sub-fab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of project management or field engineering in large-scale piping/mechanical construction.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in semiconductor cleanroom construction/tool install activities.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required; CCM or CAPM/PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field contact for mechanical and piping trade contractors on the cleanroom floor.
• Coordinate handoffs between facility infrastructure and tool installation crews to keep progress steady.
• Monitor schedule milestones, manpower, and material installation rates for toolsets.
• Review RFIs and FCOs, validate conditions before escalation for approval.
• Enforce strict safety standards and cleanroom protocol compliance during fieldwork.
