Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks a Project Manager (Tool Hookup Electrical) to oversee electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and control hookups for semiconductor tools on the production floor. You will coordinate with trade contractors, field engineers, and equipment vendors to ensure safe, on-schedule connections in strict compliance with designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, 4+ years in large-scale industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of project management or field engineering in large-scale industrial electrical construction.
• 2+ years of direct experience in semiconductor cleanroom construction or tool installation.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required; CCM or CAPM/PMP a plus.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E electrical safety practices.
• Experience with cleanroom protocols (Class 10 to Class 1000) and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Field contact for electrical trade contractors; coordinate daily work packages.
• Manage field safety, schedule milestones, and installation progress for tool sectors.
• Review RFIs and FCOs; validate conditions before approvals.
• Oversee LV power runs, wiring, and EMO circuits to tool chassis; ensure proper tagging.
• Coordinate LOTO sequences and energization; document punchlist completion.
