Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking an Engineering Intern/Co-Op for the Equipment Engineering Operations team in Leominster, MA. This role offers hands-on involvement on the factory floor, operating and commissioning backend semiconductor test and finish equipment, and performing experimental design to optimize processes.

You will work on sustaining support, troubleshooting, and data-driven improvements, while developing technical skills and professional growth in a fast-paced semiconductor

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum 2-3 years progress toward a BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience or coursework in manufacturing equipment operation, commissioning, or shop-floor support
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or SolidWorks; proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Sustaining support on the manufacturing floor to assist operators and technicians
• Operate and commission complex backend semiconductor test and finish equipment and run qualification experiments
• Design and execute experiments to define optimal equipment operating parameters
• Resolve mechanical and assembly issues using root-cause analysis
• Participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects and implement floor-level improvements
• Support SPC data collection and analysis on the manufacturing floor
• Create CAD drawings, fixtures, and maintain process documentation
