Job summary

Polar Semiconductor offers a Technology Development Engineer Intern role in Bloomington, MN. This temporary 12–13 week internship reports to the Lead Engineer in the Technology Development and Transfer group and supports new development efforts.

Responsibilities include hand-probing electrical parameters, process splits, wafer data analysis, and creating characterization documents while contributing to quality, safety, and yield initiatives.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Candidates in their Junior year or higher.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize electrical parametric devices by hand probe.
• Perform and evaluate process splits.
• Measure and analyze inline wafer data (film thickness, critical dimensions, etc.).
• Create process characterization documents.
• Support initiatives such as quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management and cost containment.
• Other duties as assigned.
