Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Development Engineering Intern to join the Technology Development and Transfer group. You will report to the Lead Engineer and support new development efforts, performing hands-on measurements and documentation.

The role involves characterizing devices, evaluating process splits, and contributing to quality and process improvement initiatives. Candidates pursuing EE or Physics degrees with strong attention to detail and communication are

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Junior year or higher.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize electrical parametric devices by hand probe.
• Perform and evaluate process splits.
• Measure and analyze inline wafer data (film thickness, critical dimensions).
• Create process characterization documents.
• Support company initiatives such as quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, cost containment and perform other duties as assigned.
• Other duties, as assigned.
