Job summary

Polar Semiconductor, Inc. in Bloomington, MN seeks a Technology Development Engineer Intern to support new development efforts under the Lead Engineer in the Technology Development and Transfer group.

This temporary internship (12–13 weeks) emphasizes hands-on device characterization, data analysis, and documentation. The role involves conducting parametric device characterization, process splits, wafer data analysis, and contributing to safety, quality, and yield initiatives while collaborating

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Junior year or higher.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Preferred coursework in Device Physics or Semiconductor Processing.

Responsibilities

• Characterize electrical parametric devices by hand probe.
• Perform and evaluate process splits.
• Measure and analyze inline wafer data (film thickness, critical dimensions, etc.).
• Create process characterization documents.
• Support safety, quality and environmental initiatives (CQI, 5S, yield management, cost containment).
• Other duties, as assigned.
