Job summary

Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Technology Development Engineer Intern to support the Lead Engineer in the Technology Development and Transfer group with hands-on device characterization and process analysis. This temporary internship provides exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor fabrication activities and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Students working toward a Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• Students in their Junior year or higher.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Characterize electrical parametric devices by hand probe.
• Perform and evaluate process splits.
• Measure and analyze inline wafer data (film thickness, critical dimensions, etc.).
• Create process characterization documents.
• Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, cost containment and perform other duties as assigned.
• Other duties, as assigned
