Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho seeks a Shift Equipment Engineer in Diffusion to monitor, sustain, and improve tool performance in a fast-paced fab. You will manage preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with process teams while spending significant time in the cleanroom.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, willingness to rotate 12-hour shifts, proficiency with electrical and mechanical fundamentals, and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off) with day/night rotation every four months.
• Knowledge of AC/DC circuits and electrical fundamentals.
• Experience with schematic diagrams and component-level troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and handle chemicals and hazards in the work area.
• Recognize and react to safety alarms (EES, fire alarm, MDA, ERT, etc.).
• Improve area/shift benchmarks by driving LTD reductions, MA improvements, and excursion prevention to optimize fab performance.
• Drive a culture of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including TPM metrics, WS health reports, Continuous Improvement Projects, and MTAGs.
• Partner with Equipment Owners and Shift Engineers/Technicians to implement daily activities and resolve issues affecting yield, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss.
