Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain medium and low voltage systems up to 35kV in a new semiconductor fab.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, and contractor coordination to keep equipment running smoothly. The role requires 3 years in electrical/semiconductor maintenance, a willingness to work 12-hour shifts, and a valid electrical journeyman license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of electrical industrial, semiconductor, or related field or equivalent experience or equivalent military experience
• 2 years of maintenance experience
• Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 months
• Preferred: Valid Electrical journeyman license
• Preferred: 5 years experience

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards
• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code NFPA70
• Understanding of electrical one-line diagrams and the ability to perform feeder switching on electrical switchboards with redundant feeds
• Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment
• Provide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible in the event of a system failure
• Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
• Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues and maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment
• Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability
